What is our time schedule?


No, we do not have a 24-hour reception. But we have schedules that can exceptionnally be adapted if actually necessary. Ideally, please respect our schedules as indicated here: arrival between 5 PM and 7 PM departure by 11 AM at the latest (1 PM on Sunday if you apply for the Brunch) breakfast between 7:30 and 9:30 at the latest on weekdays, between 8:00 and 9:30 on weekends and public holidays Sunday brunch between 10:30 and 13:00 table d'hôtes at 7:30 PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday If you really can't stick to it, contact us!




Are you still available on that date?


Excellent question! But you can find it out easily with our online module (preferred method), or you might also call us or send us a message.




What are our rates?


It's simple, everything is indicated in our pages next to the respective sections. But let's not be picky, it's here too: our rates Please note that these prices are for a direct booking (via our website, by e-mail or by phone). They may be different when the reservation is made via a central reservation office (article 133 of the law of 6 August 2015).




How can we pay?


As you can read in our GTC, we prefer payment by card(s) before booking (we use Stripe thanks to our partner elloha.com). For supplements, meals and drinks, we also accept cash. However, we do have a card reader available. However, we do not accept cheques (only ANCV Chèques Vacances).




Are our rooms accessible to people with reduced mobility?


Unfortunately not all of them! Only Lisa and Juliet's double rooms are. Note however that they do have a small step to get in. There is also a small step to access our dining room and our yard is made of gravel. There is a wide wooden exterior staircase to access Iona's family suite and a narrow staircase to reach the floor of the priest's room. Due to their configuration, trailers are also not suitable for people with reduced mobility.




What if I'm hungry?


It all depends on the moment! Breakfast will be served every morning. If you stay several nights, you can even choose alternative versions (with extra charge though). On Sundays, you will even have the opportunity to enjoy brunch. Our table d'hôte will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (only upon prior reservation). Everything is explained in detail here: eat For the other evenings, consult us and we will find a solution or at least a recommendation.




What do we eat tonight?


As said above, the table d'hôtes is proposed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, upon reservation at least 24 hours in advance for logistical reasons. We cannot guarantee availability in case of last minute requests. A table d'hôtes means the same menu for all! That's the way it is, according to the law! It also stipulates that the table d'hôtes is intended only for anyone sleeping on site. So if you enjoy our cuisine, come, stay and sleep! Our table d'hôtes will constantly evolve according to seasonal products and will explore what the regional and local artisans have to offer. Let yourself be surprised by a cuisine that revisits classic recipes from around the world with touches from Picardy or Baie de Somme products such as local salty lamb or the famous saltwort: a lasagna with lamb from the salty meadows, a saltwort pesto, a Bay carbonara, a traditional Ficelle picarde, a sea soup, a Poké bowl, ... Exceptionally, we will propose thematic menus inspired by our travelling experiences or even tasting boards of regional products. For wine lovers, we also offer a selection of wines, a few Trappist beers and the essential beer of the Presbytery, la Presbytérienne, brewed for us by our partner from the Brasserie de la Somme.




What about allergies and intolerances?


Of course, we take allergies and intolerance very seriously. So if you have something important to report, do it at the time of booking and we will take it into account in the daily menu. We have been HACCP and INCO trained.




I forgot to book an option (breakfast and/or table d'hôtes). Is it too late?


That's a shame! But no worries, if you have already booked your room, simply contact us to add the desired options.




I'm thirsty!


la Presbytérienne Then you have to drink! That's why we provide a courtesy tray in each room with water, a selection of teas and a Nespresso machine with two capsules per person. And if you feel like drinking something else, just contact us to taste La Presbytérienne, our amber beer created in partnership with La Brasserie de la Somme.




What if I smoke?


Everyone has their own vices! But it is worth noting that the entire house, annex and trailers are non-smoking. You can still enjoy it outdoors as long as you don't disturb anyone. Ashtrays will be provided for this purpose so avoid leaving your cigarette butts lying around!




Are my pets welcome?


Even if we love dogs as much as cats or any other small animals, for hygiene and logistics reasons, your pets are unfortunately not accepted, unless exceptional (and prior) derogation. More information on this subject can be found in our General Terms and Conditions (article 7.2). Please note that in this case, a supplement will be requested and any damage will be charged to your account. Guide dogs are accepted but we kindly ask you to inform us in advance when booking.




How many channels does the TV receive?


It's simple, as a matter of principle, there is no TV. However, there are books in each room and board games are available on request. If you really don't want to miss the last episode of your favorite series, take your tablet or laptop and enjoy our Wifi network.




What's up doc? Do you have wifi?


Yes, honeybunny, in all the rooms! But be careful to use it in compliance with the laws.




Where will I park my car?


We have a few places available in the main courtyard or in front of the surrounding wall. If necessary, there are also free spots on the village square just a few steps from the Presbytère.




What about my electric car?


Soon, we will install a terminal that you can use against a small fee. This option will be announced on our website as soon as it becomes available.




What if I come by train?


In French we say that le train a déjà un goût de voyage! This is good as the nearest station is not very far away. For your schedules, you will find all the information on the Oui.SNCF website. From there, contact us (in advance) if you don't have a solution to join us and we will help you find one. Gare d'Abbeville : 9 km Gare TGV d'Amiens : 50 km Gare de Calais-Fréthun : 112 km




How much further is the sea?


Not much! From here, you will combine the pleasures of the countryside and the sea in a snap of your fingers: by road, 11km to the beach of Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme (it is even shorter if you go by bike along the towpath - le Véloroute de la Somme) and 20km to Cayeux-sur-Mer or Le Crotoy.




Is it raining?


We can't guarantee that it will be sunny every day, but we can help you get an idea of the weather in the coming days: the weather in Saigneville and Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme




Are my children welcome?


Of course! Of course! However, it goes without saying that your children remain under your full responsibility.




Nespresso in the rooms? Is it eco-responsible?


Why not? At least that is their commitment. Yet this might not be the greenest way to offer you coffee. That's also why your breakfast coffee is freshly ground. On the other hand, we will not argue about Nespresso, but we have chosen to trust their commitment to recycling and sustainability. What's included in the price of a night?


This list is not the nicest part of this website but since the question has already been asked, here is an overview of what is included in the price of a night ( alot of obious things but here they are):

  • your night in a good bedding
  • linen (sheets, towels, etc.)
  • beds to be made and undone
  • the time spent cleaning rooms, shower rooms, common areas, kitchen, etc. in short, general maintenance
  • cleaning and hygiene products
  • reception and/or courtesy tray products (teas, coffees, etc.)
  • your breakfast: preparation time, ingredients, installation, preparation and storage
  • shopping time
  • machines maintenance
  • machines or other breakage
  • heating
  • water, gas and electricity to welcome you
  • your Wifi connection
  • insurance costs
  • the administration to manage all this
  • and more ...




What about linen and towels if I stay several nights?


It all depends on the number of nights. At home, you don't change your sheets every day, do you? What about your towels? In short, we will adapt to the duration, the need and the request but if you stay more than one night, we ask you to keep your towels for at least 48 hours for ecological reasons.
